Ufo udpate and X-3D
At long last I got my new X-Ufo a couple of days ago. It was returned to Amazon the first time around, because only 3 of 4 motors worked. The one I just got didn’t work either, unfortunately, because the gyro was defective on arrival. Anyway there’s hope, because I took the gyro from the old ufo and replaced the faulty one, and now it works.
This means I have a spare ufo, but not for long. Because, in the beginning of September I get my X-3D board.
It is a purely electric gyroscope that doesn’t have any of the constraints of mechanical gyros. I’m really looking forward to this, as it should improve the experience tremendously - with practice you can even do loops. And it’s possible to customize the settings through an USB connection to your computer. You just have to watch some of the “Piezo in perfektion” videos by the people behind this board! Very impressive; can’t wait.

Lets see som action pictures (videos perhaps?) of the piezo-/lipo-modded x-ufo!
Have you got he hang of looping yet? Or is that too complicated?

If you’ll do the recording you can get all the videos you want.
Didn’t try looping yet; it’s definitely too expensive if/when it goes wrong.

I have my x-3d. It truely is remarkable. Heres a video clip of mine in action, no flips or tricks just some hovering in the back yard.

Hi,
Yes, it’s really cool to fly with the X-3D! Unfortunately I crashed it very hard one day, and since then I haven’t had the chance to fly. I’ll have to do some soldering before I can fly again, but I haven’t had the time.

Hello Dword!!
I found your blog when I was googleing x-ufo…
I have just started a forum for x-ufo in norway, and I guess you are from Danmark? You are welcome to our forum to be a part of it, and help with building a x-ufo enviorment, forum. We have just started, so it is not much there, but i hope you can help!!
It is good to have a forum in norwegian/skandinavian/english, I am not too good at german….
Be blessed!

The only ones selling the X-3D are the german X-UFO shop. Shipping to other countries is no problem, I did.
Also be sure to check out the german X-UFO forum. There’s an international section, and you can translate the posts into english.
Good luck.
